It’s been great to see that all our students have returned to training first days of January. The even better news is that few new people have joined us on the Path of Harmony by taking on Beginners’ Course.

Newcomers have worked really hard, well done everyone! If you missed this opportunity, no problem: you can always pop-in on a Thursday evening for a free trial. Come along and change your life for the better, physically, mentally, and spiritually.

The year ahead looks similarly promising and busy with:

If you have never tried Aikido, this is a dynamic Japanese Martial Art suitable for children, men and women of any age, size and build. The art focuses on using the attackers’ movement against them and include a combination of empty-handed techniques, along with weapons including sword, staff and knife, all practiced in a safe and friendly environment.

As there is no competition in Aikido and true victory is self-victory, regular practice helps in particular children in gaining self-confidence and self-respect, developing concentration and focus, releasing stress, becoming more flexible, developing emotional intelligence and resilience, being more calm, happy, and grounded. We are also happy to cater for any disorders like ASD and ADHD as well as any disabilities.

Regular classes run at Woolpit Village Hall on Monday and Thursday nights, 7-9pm. Our instructors are Coach Level 1 and 2 qualified, DBS checked, and First Aid qualified.
